Resumo:
Tuberculosis (TB) is a serious infectious disease, however curable if treated correctly. 7.0 million cases of TB were reported in 2018 worldwide, mainly in emerging countries, making it a public health problem. Brazil ranks 20th on the WHO list of countries with the highest absolute number of TB cases and 19th in terms of TB-HIV co-infection. Acre had an incidence rate above 51 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in 2019, along with other states in Brazil. Thus, the objective of this study was to analyze the spatial and temporal distribution of tuberculosis in the state of Acre, Brazil, from 2010 to 2020. This is an observational ecological time series study of tuberculosis cases reported in the state of Acre from 2010 to 2020. The variables selected for the study were socioeconomic, demographic and clinical-epidemiological variables that were based on the SINAN form. Data were collected from secondary databases available on DATASUS/TABNET. The information was tabulated in Excel Microsoft office 2013. Through the calculations of the incidence of TB, it was possible to analyze the temporal trend using the Software Joinpoint Regression analysis version 4.9.0.0. and the spatial distribution of the three health regions on maps made using the Qgis software version 3.26.1. Between 2010 and 2020, 4,882 cases of TB were reported in the state of Acre. The incidence rate varied with a minimum of 43.8 in 2010 and a maximum of 67.1/100,000 inhabitants in 2020. The epidemiological profile is male (69.8%), age group 20 to 29 (33.1%), brown color/race (78.2%), living in urban areas (45.3%) and with incomplete primary education (37.8%). The predominant form of the disease was pulmonary. The Baixo Acre and Purus Health Region had the highest incidences during the years 2010, 2015 and 2020. The state has one of the highest incidences of TB in the country, and with a tendency to increase in the last 5 years. The largest distribution of TB cases in the state occurs in the health region of Baixo Acre and Purus, where the state capital is located. It is important to include and intensify programs to improve and assist basic housing, food and health needs, as most of the social factors of TB can be modified.
